Miss Young

Hello, I am Miss Young. I received the following email. It is a socalled "Advance Fee Fraud" letter, where I am promised millions for my assistance. These stories are all lies, and if I respond, sooner or later I will be asked to pay a fee. If I pay, another fee will quickly come up, and it will continue that way until I give up or run out of money. I will never see the millions, because they never existed.

Dear Beneficiary,

Acting in our capacity as the Apex body authorised by the Nigerian Government to reconcile foreign payments, we are pleased to inform you that full clearance has been granted for the release of your overdue funds via cash delivery to your doorstep, since all efforts to get the funds to you via a direct bank wire transfer through the Central Bank of Nigeria has failed.

However, your overdue funds has been packaged into 2 trunk boxes and it has been shipped to your country through diplomatic means. All supporting documents and clearance certificates are included in the 2 trunk boxes in order to certify that the funds are from a clean and genuine source. Hence, the 2 trunk boxes are presently in your country awaiting a “YELLOW TAG” to be attached by the Customs before the 2 trunk boxes can be finally delivered to your address.

Meanwhile, be informed that the “keys” for opening the 2 trunk boxes will be shipped directly to your address via FEDEX today upon your payment of the “shipping fee” of $105 dollars. The reason why the “keys” were not included in the trunk boxes was basically for security reasons. Therefore, you are advised to send the “shipping fee” of $105 dollars via Western Union with the understated details:

NAME OF RECEIVER: JOHN MICHAEL
DESTINATION: LAGOS, NIGERIA
TEST QUESTION: IN GOD
ANSWER: WE TRUST
AMOUNT: $105 USD

Please take note that it is only when the “keys” for the boxes has been sent to you that we will give final instruction to the Customs to attach the “YELLOW TAG” on the 2 trunk boxes for final delivery to your doorstep. Therefore, it is important for you to send the “shipping fee” of $105 dollars, so that the “keys” for opening the boxes can be shipped to you immediately. My personal email address is Deputysenateng@live.com and phone number +234-70-63020075

Yours Sincerely,

Senator Uchechukwu Ekweremadu
Deputy Senate President
Federal Republic of Nigeria
