Miss Young

Hello, I am Miss Young. I received the following email. It is a socalled "Advance Fee Fraud" letter, where I am promised millions for my assistance. These stories are all lies, and if I respond, sooner or later I will be asked to pay a fee. If I pay, another fee will quickly come up, and it will continue that way until I give up or run out of money. I will never see the millions, because they never existed.

If you received a similar email, you should go to the homepage to read more about 419 fraud.

Dear Sir,

This is to acknowledge the receipt of your email regarding the payment of your US$20million contract fund for contract number nnpc/ped/fmf/wr-ph/2000.

As I told you in my email to you yesterday, we have already scheduled the transfer of this fund to your account onTuesday 25th May 2010. You have to make sure you send the certificate to this office not later than 12noon 25th May. It is not my duty to get the certificate for you. I am not your partner and I have no time to follow it up.
The only thing I can do for you is this; if you do not have any person here who can help secure the certificate, I can direct you to the NNPC director in charge of contract but I cannot carry the responsibility to securing the certificate for you. It is not part of my official assignment. I believe you suppose to know somebody right there in NNPC where your executed the contract, who can help you get your contract completion certificate if you cannot come here in person to get it but if you do not have any person or know any person there, I can give you the contact information of the director in charge of contractsand you contact the person yourself.
Once you provide this certificate your fund will be transferred without you paying a single cent. For further information, please call me on phone number +234-8137176442.

Yours faithfully,
Olusegun Aganga

Dear Sir,

I suppose you must have copies of the documents you submitted so you can check in your file and send us the copy of the requested certificate. Nobody removed the certificate from your file. I am not sure it was ever submitted. The only solution to this is for you to apply for the issuance of this certificate to you.
It is not my duty to secure the certificate for you but I will if you provide the neccessary for the issuance of the certificate, otherwise, you have to come here in person and secure the certificate. All I need from you is this certificate and your fund will be transferred to your account without you paying any fee or charge.
I want you to understand most sincerely, that once you secure this certificate you will not pay any fee or charge whatsoever, but no matter how much you spent without this certificate, you cannot and will never receive the fund.

Yours faithfully,
Olusegun Aganga

Dear Sir,

I have received your email. I have told you what is lacking from your payment file. How can you send documents out without keeping a copy. When you are ready to receive your fund, then you should try and get the copy of the certificate to this office. This does not require any arqurement or exchange of emails.

Yours faithfully,

I have nothing to loose if your fund is not paid. I am not asking you for even 1 dollar. I have requested for what is required officially. If you cannot provide the required certificate, and chose to be dealing with imposters who are demanding money from you, it is your business.

with due respect, I have told you what is missing from your file and if you cannot get it and send to me, I will drop your payment file. It is not my duty to go to any office to look for a document that is not in your file. I presume you have a partner here who can help you get the certificate. I am not asking you to send me any money. So what is your problem? You do not want me to follow the due process? Sorry, if you do not send the certificate as requested, I will drop your payment file.
Thank you,
Olusegun Aganga.
