Miss Young

Hello, I am Miss Young. I received the following email. It is a socalled "Advance Fee Fraud" letter, where I am promised millions for my assistance. These stories are all lies, and if I respond, sooner or later I will be asked to pay a fee. If I pay, another fee will quickly come up, and it will continue that way until I give up or run out of money. I will never see the millions, because they never existed.

> The project I write about is financial in manner and requires direct discussions between us.
> The net worth of the said project is about U.S. $25,000,000, however, foreign assistance and co-operation is required for us to facilitate the logistics required to bring the project to a successful conclusion.
> Your response to me should be most welcome, the confidentiality of my communication to you is equally desired and I trust you shall maintain that!
> I will promptly offer you more personal details regarding myself and the nature of our peculiar project, I will explain why you were unavoidably contacted unsolicited, I hope you do realize that some things are better not said through this medium. However, our discussions shall capture your involvement, our requirements and what you stand to gain.

>
>I do sincerely realize that my e-mail to you is quite strange and may be shocking to you since we do not previously know each other. However, i crave your patience and indulgence since the matter i have brought to your attention has to do with the well being of myself and my family, far away in Africa.

>My wish is to slowly give you the whole picture of why i contacted you, how you can be of assistance to us and the exact nature of the project i proposed to you.
>I want to also use this opportunity to let you know that, my family is in great distress after the death of our father. My father's death and the aftermath of his death is the exact reason my family is in distress and the exact same reason we are searching for a confidante and for assistance from some person or organization that is unknown to us, who will not be biased after hearing the details of what I have to say regarding the project we have proposed to you.

>I am the first son to my late father, after me follows my younger sister. My mum and dad had just the two of us, my father's sudden/violent death arose due to his role in military politics back in my home country (Democratic Republic of Congo).
>This development has put myself and my family on the run for our lives just to avoid meeting the same fate our father met. I am presently taking refuge in South Africa after having escaped from my home country, my refuge in South Africa is temporary while we are continuing the search for a trustworthy partner with whom we could transact anonymously and through whom we could gain passage to a far away country, where we could settle down in safety.
>
>We are in possession of information and details of where our late father secured certain funds/valuables meant for a certain covert government project before his death and we are in search of assistance to redeem the said funds without exposing ourselves more than is necessary. Our hope is that our association with you should enable us to secure the funds in investments in your country.
>Part of our plan is to ensure that we deal with a person or an organization that may be willing and trustworthy enough to be entrusted with our future well being and with future investments via a proxy who will be representing my family. For which role, we are willing to concede part of the available funds in compensation for all assistances.
>
>There is a lot to be discussed and most of the discussion may be sensitive in nature with regard to my family's safety and well being.
>
>I thank you for your attention while i await your most urgent reply.

>Best regards,
