Hello, I am Miss Young. I received the following email. It is a socalled "Advance Fee Fraud" letter, where I am promised millions for my assistance. These stories are all lies, and if I respond, sooner or later I will be asked to pay a fee. If I pay, another fee will quickly come up, and it will continue that way until I give up or run out of money. I will never see the millions, because they never existed.

Subject: THE CLOSING COST


This is to inform you that your mail message is well received and noted by this committee in view of this kindly send to us your receiving bank details and your contract or inheritance details too, so as to direct our approved paying bank to release your approved payment of $10.5M United states dollars only including your direct telephone number.

Meanwhile, you are required to pay the sum of $1,050.00 or as the wire transfer fees to our approved paying bank being 0.01% of your total sum of $10,500,000.00.

The USD$1,050.00 cost of transfer fee has to be paid physically in our office wherein a receipt will be issued for same.

Therefore you have to come to our office and make the payment or send a representative to do that for you. As soon as the cost of transfer fee is paid, your payment of USD$10,500,000.00 will be released into your bank account through our approved paying bank.

You can however avoid this 0.01% payment if you have a PDC, presidential deduction certificate issued to you by the Federal Government of Nigeria, It is only the PDC, presidential deduction certificate that will empower our approved paying bank to deduct all charges from source thereby allowing them to deduct any further charges from your money and release the balance to your bank account, if you have this certificate, urgently provide it as an attachment to this email address so that we can conclude on your fund transfer now.
