Miss Young

Hello, I am Miss Young. I received the following email. It is a socalled "Advance Fee Fraud" letter, where I am promised millions for my assistance. These stories are all lies, and if I respond, sooner or later I will be asked to pay a fee. If I pay, another fee will quickly come up, and it will continue that way until I give up or run out of money. I will never see the millions, because they never existed.

If you received a similar email, you should go to the homepage to read more about 419 fraud.

Hello, my love,
How are you today?, i believe that you are doing well. I am more than satisfied with your reply to my mail, mine is a little hot here in Dakar Senegal. Its just like one staying in the prison, I hope that soon we will come there. I do not have any relatives now whom i can go to, the only person we have now is Rev. Vincent Kusi, who is pastor of the (Christ for all Churches) here in the camp. He is very nice to us since we came here, but we are not living with him rather, we live in the hostel, because the camp have two hostels one for men the other for women.

As i said, i will tell you more about myself, i am Miss Mercy Fofana, of the Republic of the Gambia good in English and holds a degree in international communications technology Kairaba Avenue, Pipeline Junction, the Gambia. I am the only daughter of an ex-Navy Chief of Staff, Rear Admiral Sarjo Fofana, i hope you hear from CNN/BBC about how our President Jammeh held a special commission headed by the Chief Justice of the Republic of The Gambia and leveled four charges against my father, Rear Admiral Sarjo Fofana Gambian Ex Navy Chief, Ex-Chief of Defense Staff, Lieutenant General Lang Tombong Tamba, and seven others for,

1) conspiring with Col. Ndure Cham and others, and plotted a coup to overthrow the democratically elected president and government of The Gambia. 2) The President said that from January to March 21, 2006, they tried to stage a coup to overthrow the democratically elected government of The Gambia by ammunition. 3) That my father and others did not give adequate information and a lot of time to ministers, judges or police officers, before plotting a coup. 4) failing to take reasonable and necessary measures to prevent and plotting coup to overthrow the president against his government.

All of these allegations against my father and others were not true and they were not guilty of the crimes directed against them, President Jammeh and the Chief Justice sentenced my father and others to death. All of these assertions were not true, because their is no evidence against it. Some very good and close friend of my father with other top business men in Africa came to the Gambia with money to pay to the Gambia Government All of their efforts to release my father and others was in vain because they were warned by the president of our country not to remove their hands from the case, until he co-ordinate with other greedy colleagues to seize all the assets of my father, both of our houses, cars, etc. Read about my Father' s case: http://thepoint.gm / Africa/Gambia/article/Lang-tombong-sarjo-fofana-arraigned-over-2006-coup-attempt

The day after the appeared on the High Court in Banjul, i visited my dad in prison, then told me about the bad dream he had about his life here in prison. He also reviewed to me about our last hope ($ 7.2 m), which he deposited in a bank in Europe, he used the name of my younger brother as the next of kin for safety reasons.
our mother, Mrs Ida Fofana is dead after suffering from high blood pressure of 6 October 2006. I decided to run to the refugee camp here in Dakar Senegal where i am presently seeking asylum under the United Nations of refugee commission, with my brother.

I would like to contact you personally for a long term relationship that can lead us to a better place in the future if we can congregate in the same proximity in life with truth, trust and sincerity. My father told me that i should look for a foreign partner outside our country to help us get the money transferred to his/her account on our behalf, the person will help us invest the money in a good business any where he/she feels better. Finally, the person will take care of us.

My dear, i love you, you are everything we have in life. I sincerely ask for assistance in transferring the fund out of the bank, Standard Chartered Bank of London (SCB). I contacted the bank about the money and they told me to look for a good and responsible person who will stand on our behalf as a friend and administrator to transfer the money directly to his/her account due to our refugee status.

I kept this secret to people in the camp, the only person who knows it is the reverend. I also want you to keep it secret to yourself. The reason why i told the reverend is because he is like a father to us here in the camp. You are 100% free to contact me with his office phone number (+221 77 168 03 89), from 10-18GMT, on Mondays to Saturdays. If you call, tell him you want to speak with me, he will send for me from the female hostel to come and speak with you. As a refugee, we do not have any right or privilege to any thing be it money or whatever, because it is against the law of this camp.
I am waiting to hear from you soonest. Thank you for your kindness to us. You will not regret it any assistant you rendered to us in this life.

Yours in mind,
Mercy,
