Hello, I am Miss Young. I received the following email. It is a socalled "Advance Fee Fraud" letter, where I am promised millions for my assistance. These stories are all lies, and if I respond, sooner or later I will be asked to pay a fee. If I pay, another fee will quickly come up, and it will continue that way until I give up or run out of money. I will never see the millions, because they never existed.

The foreign transfer unit of the Reserve Bank of India do hereby bring to your notice, that you were listed as a beneficiary in the recent schedule for payment of outstanding debts incurred by the RBI government within the period of 2010 to 2013 According to your file, Your payment is categorized as: contract type: Lottery inheritance unpaid contract funds/ undelivered Lottery fund Charity Fund etc. Payment file No.RBI/id1033/013. Payment amount: GBP500,000.00.

This was as a result of the recent meeting held on the 6th of February, 2013, The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor, Dr. D.Subbarao, met with the RBI Senate Tax Committee On Finance regarding unclaimed funds which is overdue. At end of the meeting the RBI Governor, Dr. D Subbarao ordered that all unclaimed funds must be release to the beneficiary stating that it’s an unfair practice to withhold Individual fund in government basket for any reason or for tax accumulations.

Therefore, we are writing to inform you that GBP500,000.00 your unpaid amount will be release to you in full amount, as it was committed for (RBI) Governor that Beneficiary will have to pay approval fees only to the source of fund.

Therefore after verification by the concern body (The British High Commission Office) in New Delhi, you will be required to pay Rs.17,500 /-. to them for the approval of your unpaid fund within Three (3) bank working days.
