Hello, I am Miss Young. I received the following email. It is a socalled "Advance Fee Fraud" letter, where I am promised millions for my assistance. These stories are all lies, and if I respond, sooner or later I will be asked to pay a fee. If I pay, another fee will quickly come up, and it will continue that way until I give up or run out of money. I will never see the millions, because they never existed.

Dear Fund Manager,

I know that this message will come to you as a surprise since we do not know each other, allow me to introduce myself. I am Bobby Malabie of the AMALGAMATED BANK OF SOUTH AFRICA (ABSA). I am a South African, a Chartered Accountant by training and the Auditor General of AMALGAMATED BANK OF SOUTH AFRICA (ABSA) by profession. I got your contact through my search from South African Chamber Of Commerce and Industry via the Information Exchange in Johannesburg.

I am a close friend and confidant of the late Minister ROY PADAYACHEE of Public Service and Administration, once the Chairman of South African Parliamentary Committee on Works and Contracts. He was sadly found dead on the 4th of May 2012 in his hotel room in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia during one of his official trips. He was representing the South African President for a meeting of the African Peer Review Mechanism. Through over invoiced and bulk purchases that were made on behalf of Anglo Gold LTD, the Minister had an excess sum of USD$ 23,000,000 (Twenty Three Million United States Dollars) which with my help, was lodged in an Escrow Account under a classified name. Nobody has knowledge of this money’s existence except for me. I would like to transfer the money to a trustworthy person with an overseas account before the annual auditing of our bank. If I do not remit this money out urgently and it is discovered, it will be forfeited and returned to the state as funds unaccounted for.

I repose great confidence in you and I hope you do not betray it. I shall be grateful if you could receive these funds into your account for safe keeping and a joint, lucrative investment. This arrangement is known to you and me alone. I want you to bear in mind that this transaction is 100% risk free. After indicating your interest we will then discuss the percentage.
