Miss Young

Hello, I am Miss Young. I received the following email. It is a socalled "Advance Fee Fraud" letter, where I am promised millions for my assistance. These stories are all lies, and if I respond, sooner or later I will be asked to pay a fee. If I pay, another fee will quickly come up, and it will continue that way until I give up or run out of money. I will never see the millions, because they never existed.

If you received a similar email, you should go to the homepage to read more about 419 fraud.

Subject: Dear

Your information has been received. Please be informed that this donation scheme is aimed at getting help to many less privileged ones in the society, and the process of getting this donation would actually prove to you that we really intend to ensure that our main aim is put into consideration.

The amount to be given out to you is a sum of £1,500,000 GBP (One Million, Five Hundred Thousand Great Britain Pounds) which is actually quite a huge sum, and you would agree with me that it is also quite unbelievable seeing someone give out such amount of money to any individual, that’s why we have made sure that we choose the right persons to give these out to, and we hope that our aim of giving out this fund to you is achieved. Note that every transfer process in getting this fund to you legally would be commenced and also note that we require you to map out good strategies in ensuring that the less privileged ones benefits from this fortune you would be receiving from us, that is really our main aim of giving out this fund to you, as we wouldn't be able to carry this task on our own.

This is to inform you that consensus has been reached as to the transfer of the said money to you as soon as possible; your details have been made available to the Transfer bank. The fund would be released to you via a Swift Online Process. Be aware that time is always no man’s friend; hence this should be your propelling factor to ensuring that you do your possible best to attend strictly to what the bank would be telling you. They might not follow the same routines of your own bank, because this is a special transfer process, so a different routine and processing might be introduced to you at the bank, and it is expected that you obey and pay attention strictly, and endeavor keeping your claims process confidential to yourself for the main time. With this in mind, you are to contact our bank with the below information for the immediate release of the said money/donation to you, and here is your secure code which you should make available to the bank while making contact with them [GAB2012023].

In view of this whole information passed to you. please be informed also that the bank would require you to open an account with them so as to hasten the processing, don’t panic as this is one of the routine I informed you about earlier on this email. The account when opened with them must have a minimum balance, and such balance must come from you. This is being done because the account must have a minimum balance to be able to accommodate such huge amount, this is also known as opening balance. The opening balance is still your money, as when you are transferring the money from the account you opened with them, you can transfer the total amount if you wish.

We believe this information is helpful to you, and we do expect that you understand every aspect of it without skepticism, doubt or disbelief. Also ensure that you report back to us on every of your conversation with the bank as it will account for records purpose to avoid any misunderstanding.
