Hello, I am Miss Young. A scammer often fails in making his victim pay him money. But he does not give up if he thinks it is still possible to convince the victim. He could try a new scam with hidden millions or a big lottery winning. Another approach is a compensation letter where he promises the victim a big sum as compensation. The compensation money does not exist, - it is simply the start of a new scam. The letter below is an example of such a letter.

Presently I'm in Thailand for investment projects with my own share of the total sum. Mainwhile,i didn't forget your past efforts and attempts to assist me in transferring those funds despite that it failed us some how. Because of the urgency of my traveling to Thailand, I deposit a sum of$280.000.00 at ATM Visa cardOffice Development Authority. I was contacted by the office whom i left your check with somegift and the managing director told me that the bank has confirmed the check, I have finish my discussion with the office management and he assured me that they are ready to issue you an ATM Visa card through their Visa card payment center for you to be making withdrawals of your funds in your country or in any ATM machine worldwide.
You are advised to confirm your personal informations to them to enable them commence with the issuing of the Visa card to you without any delay with thegift and do not hesitate to contact the ATM CARD OFFICE DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY to issue the ATM Visa card with daily limit if $10,000 to avoid delaying your fund or the fund been diverting to the Government account.
