BTW. My finansial advisor, Louis, asked for some kind of documentation of mr Kogans account. Could you send a Statement of Account?

JEFFERSON

My dear Jefferson,

Thank you for the email.

I have some bad news regarding the bank. They wont accept less than $700, and now I have only got $415 left. I plan to go to back to the States later this month, and I expect that I can raise the $700 when I am home.

However, I think that I can borrow the money here in Amsterdam. I have a trustworthy friend here, and I might be able to persuade him if I show him the documents regarding the fund, that you have promised to send.

I think we should try this solution.

Regards, ...

Hello Jeff,

How are you today? I am back after a nice week-end.

I ran into an old friend of mine, and he had some disturbing news. He has received the attached email from mr Yoko, and he showed it to me. I must admit that I was very confused, since it is identical to the email you sent to me. Do you know Mr Yoko? Will you please tell me what is going on?

And finally, the false passport:

Dear Jefferson,

I am loosing faith with you.

I can understand that nobody but you in the bank know about our business, but I assume that the bank knows the names of the Directors employed by the bank. I had Louis call your bank, and they did not know any Director by your name.

What are you hiding from me?? Somebody also told me that the picture on your passport is taken from a magazine, and the birthday has been altered.

Please come up with a good explanation, or our deal is off.

Good night, ...

Dear Jefferson,

I agree that only the almigthy God knows the truth. But I need your help in this down-to-earth business deal. I have attached an enlargement of your passport, that show that your year of birth and your name has been altered. I do not know how the authorities work in your country, so this might me because of a simple error make by some clerk in the passport-office. Please inform me if this could be the case, or else I will have to believe that you or one of your friends have fiddled with somebody elses passport.

Dearest Jefferson,

I am so sorry for the alligations I wrote to you. I have thought much about it, and must admit that I have been too hard in my judgement. The funny things in your passport could be because of the scanner, of some other reason that is out of your control.

Dear Miss Young,

Why do you expose me to the bank?I told you to withdraw from this transaction instead of making me to loose my job.I was called by the bank executives and the board of directors of the bank today, they gave me a tamination letter that i am no longer working in the bank and also i am going to face judgement because according to the mail you send to the bank you made them to understand that i am the person feeding you with all the necessary informations concerning the fund which you are claiming. Now i am being fustrated, how can i make my leaving after saving the bank for many years, now i am going without any benefit all because of you.

All you have to do now, is to send the fee reqiure by the bank to enable them transfer the fund immediately so that i can come over to your country with my family to make my leaving that is my only hope in life as of now.Do not delay again send them the money immediately.

Waiting,

Jefferson

This was the last I heard from Jefferson. His final plea for sympathy failed.
3 month later I received the following passport from a friend in Belgium. He received it from a scammer called Paul Ndiora . It is very similar to Jeffersons. Note that the passportnumbers are both A3082188.

On February 3, 2006 I received this from F.D. Maybe Jefferson moved his dirty business to Nigeria? Maybe a Nigerian scammer with a mobile phone just used the same name?
