They are responsible for the day-to-day management and development of the environmental health project/child welfare work in all locations, providing technical input, overall support and advice to local counterparts on how best to address the lack of technical capacity in rural water supply and environmental sanitation. Advise the government partner agencies on adopting an appropriate approach of empowering the community, particularly in the management of the water and environmental sanitation scheme during implementation and for future operation and maintenance
Qualifications: Qualified Engineer, Civil or Environmental, with considerable field experience of working in developing countries in the sector of urban, per-urban and rural water supply and sanitation for planning, designing and long-term operation and maintenance management. Knowledge of hygiene education training at community level and committed to the integration of hygiene promotion within the environmental health programmed.
