The following messages were
sent to me in correspondence with someone named "Combel Smith", e-mail address combel23103@yahoo.com,who
contacted me from a profile posted on Match.com personals. This
person(s) is trying to work up to committing some type of financial
fraud. I started to be tipped off by the poorly written
messages and by the pictures shared that were all glamor shots of a
woman that looked like a beautiful model. I also found one of the
same e-mail messages that I received, almost verbatim, on an
internet site called 419.bittenus.com after I typed " Combel Smith" into
Google.com and realized this person was in all likelihood not even a
woman and probably some Nigerian fraud ring, when I found that
the woman's pictures on the 419.bittenus.com internet site were not the
woman's pictures that I was sent along with the same e-mail
message. At my request for a contact phone number, I
was given a phone number of Combel Smith at some West African
hotel, phone number 2348023089115 - "ask for Combel".
Over the 4 days that I
corresponded with this e-mail address, these people had not yet asked me
for any money, and I told them in a subsequent e-mail earlier today
that I was onto them. I am forwarding some of the messages that I
received below.
Hope you can help catch these
criminals or perhaps bring them to light so others won't be taken by
their scams. I'm so glad that I found the information I did on
419.bittenus.com. I notified Match.com and Yahoo.com about the
Combel profile on Match.com, ID "Rightloveuthere", which has now been
deleted.
