Miss Young

Hello, I am Miss Young. I received the following email. It is a socalled "Advance Fee Fraud" letter, where I am invited to an employment program and offered a job abroad. These stories are all lies, and if I respond, sooner or later I will be asked to pay a fee. If I pay, another fee will quickly come up, and it will continue that way until I give up or run out of money. I will never get the job, because it never existed. Most of these letters are spread via dating sites.

Thanks for responding to my mail, it is a pleasure choosing me as a friend and it has been my dream to meet someone like you as a friend.

 

I had always wanted a friend from abroad and the fact that you have responded shows to a great extend the distance we are ready to go.. I am not looking for adventures or games, but rather a sincere friend. Nevertheless I enjoy spoiling and pampering my friends and I also believe in God for everything I am doing I immensely value friendship; I hate conflict; I am sincere and detest hypocrisy; I am open minded; I respect others ideas and listen to them and I expect to be listened to too. I love music and could not live without dancing. My favourites are listening to music in the 80s and 90s. I love to travel I have visited many places in the North East. Well, I grew up and did all my schooling here in Canada.

 

As regards my family, I am the only child in my family; my name is Shakira, 26 years old and a single lady. My father retired some years ago from the Canadian civil service while my mother is currently working with the Canadian department of Education, Vancouver, Canada

 

I am currently working as Personal Assistant to the Programme Overseer in one of the famous workers’ recruitment agencies here in Canada called: CanadIaN International RecruITMENT Centre (CIRC), and we are currently preparing to receive successful applicants from third world countries who will be arriving here soon to start a new life.

 

CIRC is an NGO currently holding and running a Workers Recruitment Program. This Program is widely sponsored, making it almost free for all participants of young people from the poorer countries of the world. I wish to extend this great opportunity to you as a friend and hope you will utilise it amicably.

 

The program is currently running and spaces are still available for new applicants, as a friend, l cannot keep this information from you, because I feel it’s an opportunity for us to meet in the nearest future.
