I have fallen victim to one of the awful internet scammers. I found your site in researching help / resources and came across the picture I was sent by the scammer. The scammer was actually a woman ( working with a male "lawyer" ), "Mrs Praise Uwaoma", saying she wanted to donate money for the work of God, distributing for orphanges and widows since she never had a child. Being a Christian woman and starting a ministry reaching out to women, I actually thought it was sincere and it was really God's doing. How could I be so naive??
 
Anyway, the picture I was sent was the one of your "Ken O. John" & wife dressed in gold African attire. I was also sent a picture of "Mrs Praise's" wound from colon cancer!!
 
Unfortunately, I did give them my personal information, but I caught it in time to NOT send money. I am taking the necessary steps for potential ID theft. Any suggestions?
 
This is great work you are doing. I didn't know this Nigerian 419 was so big. Thank you, on behalf of many, many internet users.

The Bible made us to understand that Blessed is the hand that giveth. I
took this decision because I don't have any child that will inherit this
money and my husband relatives are not Christians. I don?t want my husband's
hard earned money to be misused by unbelievers, for their own selfish interest and in an ungodly manner. I am not afraid of death hence I know where I am going. I know that I am going to be in the bossom of the Lord. Exodus 14 VS 14 says that the lord will fight my case and I shall hold my peace.
 
I don't need any telephone communication in this regard because of my health, and because of the presence of my husband's relatives around me sometimes. I don't want them to know about this development, but I know that With God all things are possible.
 
As soon as I receive your reply I shall give you the contact of the Financial institution in Ivory coast. I will also give you all information regarding the deposit of this money. I will also issue you a letter of authority that will empower you as the original- beneficiary of this fund. I want you and your church to always pray for me because God work in misterious ways. The money is in United States Dollars denomination, contained inside a container. The consignment containing this fund was deposited into the Vault department of the bank by the depositor and not into any bank account. I believed that this was done by the late depositor because he never wanted to convert this money into local currency here as he was  not ready for the transfer, then.  I have contacted the bank and the bank have first confirm the deposit of this fund by her late husband, and have also told me that before this fund is transferred, they will Officially recognize the ( NOW BENEFICIARY ) of this fund as given by the family to the late depositor and then release the container to him/her before any transfer procedure takes place. The bank have told me that they do not have any legal right to transfer this fund from where it is now until the consignment is Officially released to the beneficiary whom they will legally approve. They have added that before this container is released to this new Beneficiary, they will need to transfer all the documents of this fund on the name of the late depositor to the name of this new beneficiary as given by the family to the depositor of this fund. This is to say that the bank will need to transfer all the Original Documents of this fund to your name before the release of this consignment to you. To this regard, the  bank have demended for an Approval from the governement of Cote D'Ivoire stating this change, so as to ensure that you are the rightful person as produced by the Family. Once this approval is received from the Governement on your behalf, the bank will Officially recognize you as the rightful beneficiary of this fund, and then release this fund to you for transfer into your bank account.

My health condition is not getting better. All these mails I'm sending to you is through one of the nurses here in the hospital. Sandy When I called him the second time, that was when he mentioned the money transfer fee I would have to pay. That's when I started getting suspicious. At first I asked him to fund it, and that he would be reimbursed. I truly did not have the money. Then he said he would see what he could come up with on his end, but for me to try to get $1500.

Sandy After I found out it was a scam, I called her to "tell her the good news about the money I had borrowed." When I called the "hospital", the LAWYER answered the phone! He tried to cover up saying I must have dialed his number on accident. I played along. That was Monday evening. Then she called me Tuesday morning, and he called me also to find out when I was going to send the money. I told him I would send it in 2 hours. Then last night I called her back, telling her not to contact me anymore, she won't get a dime from me, and may God have mercy on her soul.
