RE: TRUSTING YOU IN ACTUALIZING THIS GOAL

Dear Friend,
Let me start by introducing myself to you, I am Tom De Swaan, Chief Financial Officer, ABN AMRO BANK. I saw your contact during my private search in the internet and I want to believe that you will be very honest, committed and capable of assisting in this business venture.

Firstly, let me explain the source of this funds and what you are expected to do. A foreigner, LATE DR. GERALD A. SOFFEN was an astronomer and had a functional account with the ABN AMRO BANK NETHERLANDS until his death some years ago. The deceased Late Gerald A. Soffen banked with us and had a closing balance as at 22nd November 2000 worth - 24,500,000.00 (Twenty Four Million Five Hundred Thousand Euros). My bank now expects a next-of-kin to claim the funds as the beneficiary. Efforts have been made by ABN AMRO BANK to get in touch with the Late Gerald A. Soffens family or relative but to no avail.

Based on the perceived possibility of not being able to locate Late Gerald A.soffens relatives, the management under the influence of our chairman and the board of directors are making arrangements for the funds to be declared unclaimed and channeled to an unknown account. It is based on this that I have contacted you to stand as the next-of-kin of Late Gerald A. Soffen so that the funds, will be released and paid into your account as the beneficiary/next-of-kin to the deceased.

All documents to enable you get the funds have been carefully worked out as I have secured documents from the different offices concerned for the smooth transfer of the fund to your nominated account. It has been agreed that you will be compensated with 30% of the remitted funds, while I keep 60% as my share and 10% is been set aside for both local and international expenses that might be incurred in actualizing this transaction.

If this proposal satisfies you, please reach me either by mail; tomdeswaann_76@walla.com, or phone; +31 64 921 4989, for more clarification about how this will be done.

Yours faithfully,
TOM DE SWAAN
CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
ABN AMRO BANK NETHERLANDS.

I did not believe in this, as in our country such kind of fakes gone long ago. I mean that there were such fakes in our country and people are not so mad to believe in it.

My head understood everything, but mind did not. So I wrote to mr Tom De Swaan that it it s OK lets do it.
He asked me to send him my full name as it is in international passport.
After that he sent me the next document I attached Account opening form. And he asked me to send him a copy of m passport. It was my mistake to do it. And I sent.

After that we talked with him chat and he told me the answers to all questions in the Verification from Bank, and the PROBLEM occurred with the WILL of late. After that another men came to our chat and said he is a lawyer and he was a friend of TOM DE SWAAN. He said that to make a false will, will cost us 4000 pounds. Tom said that he has only 1500 pounds and all the rest I should get anywhere. But I told him in the beginning of our correspondence that I WILL NOT PAY ANYTHING and if it is satisfied to him , than we start. So he said that he need to make some calls to get some money from friends and asked me to do the same. I told that OK but done nothing. So he told that he got another 1000 pounds from friends and as a sigh of good will I should get 1500 pounds myself. I said NO.

After that I asked him for a phone number of THIS ABN AMRO BANK NETHERLAND, and he told me nothing. After that he's gone. And I am trying to get in touch with him, but it is useless.

Here are some of the documents Alex received:

The ABN AMRO Bank is a real bank, but the addresses in the letterheads are wrong. This is their correct address:
ABN AMRO Bank N.V. - Head Office - Gustav Mahlerlaan 10 - 1082 PP Amsterdam - Telephone: +31 10 2820724 or 0900 0024 - E-mail: service@nl.abnamro.com - Internet: www.abnamro.nl

I am glad Alex did not send the scammer any money.
