Hello, I am Miss Young. A scammer often fails in making his victim pay him money. But he does not give up if he thinks it is still possible to convince the victim. He could try a new scam with hidden millions or a big lottery winning. Another approach is a compensation letter where he promises the victim a big sum as compensation. The compensation money does not exist, - it is simply the start of a new scam. The letter below is an example of such a letter.

Hello My Dear ,

I'm happy to inform you about my success in getting those funds
transferred under the cooperation of a new partner from Paraguay.
Presently I'm in Paraguay for investment projects .

I am sorry I have not email you in quite some time. I had to reformat
my computer since I moved to Paraguay and I lost everything in the
process. Fortunately, my secretary found your email address for me, so
we may now continue this business venture in your country.

Since we haven't spoken in some time. As per our agreement, I awarded a Cashiers Check for $800,000.00 to compensate you for all the past efforts and attempt to assist me despite that it failed us somehow,
this money will assist you for what you said you needed in order to
get your building in place and stocked with merchandise.

so I need you to contact my secretary Mr.Ben Osagie in Republic of Benin to give him your telephone and the address where the money should be sent, as soon as you cash the money. I need you to inform me so we can get a few more lines straightened out. I know I haven't given you my phone yet but If I do not respond to your mail please note that I'm very busy here because of the investment projects which me and my new partner are having at hand as I do not like to be disturbed unless it is necessary you want to go into business venture with me than I may at least hear your voice on the phone and we can discuss what you will need in order to start your business venture there.
