Miss Young

Hello, I am Miss Young. I received the following email. It is a socalled "Advance Fee Fraud" letter, where I am promised millions for my assistance. These stories are all lies, and if I respond, sooner or later I will be asked to pay a fee. If I pay, another fee will quickly come up, and it will continue that way until I give up or run out of money. I will never see the millions, because they never existed.

Subject: Confirmed: - Funds Transfer Notification
To:

My name is Mrs. Janet L. Yellen the newly appointed United States
Secretary of the Treasury and the former Federal Reserve Chair. After
I took this office I had to review a lot of files and to my greatest
surprise I find out that you have not received your compensation fund
for the losses and damage suffered as a direct result of Iraq’s
unlawful invasion and occupation of Kuwait in 1990-91, because of your
inability to comply with the processing of the fiduciary and approval
of your fund and that was why your fund was forward to US Treasury
Dept.

Be informed that, with today’s (26 January 2021) payment, the
Commission has paid out $50.3 billion, leaving approximately $2.1
billion to be paid towards an outstanding award balance. Successful
claims are paid from the United Nations Compensation Fund which
receives a percentage of the proceeds generated by the export sales of
Iraqi petroleum and petroleum products. This rate was previously set
at five per cent under Security Council resolution 1483 (2003) and
reaffirmed in subsequent resolutions. Pursuant to Governing Council
decision 276 adopted in November 2017, the percentage was set at 0.5
per cent for 2018, 1.5 per cent for 2019 and 3 per cent for 2020. The
rate will remain at 3 per cent until such time as the outstanding
compensation has been paid in full. Payments are made on a quarterly
basis utilizing all available funds in the Compensation Fund under
Governing Council decision 267 (2009).

The Commission had been on track to pay the outstanding compensation
award in 2021. In light of the effects of the pandemic, the Council
noted that the timeline for the completion of the Compensation
Commission’s mandate is now expected to extend but this was because
the given impacts of the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic and the
dramatic drop in global oil prices.

But with all this being said, I will help you release your fund and
have it transferred to you but as part of my continuous strive for
perfection and due process of your fund accreditation, I will need you
to provide me with the below information, so that I will be able to
process your fund myself and make sure your paid in full as soon as
possible;
