Hello, I am Miss Young. I received the following email. It is a socalled "Advance Fee Fraud" letter, where I am promised millions for my assistance. These stories are all lies, and if I respond, sooner or later I will be asked to pay a fee. If I pay, another fee will quickly come up, and it will continue that way until I give up or run out of money. I will never see the millions, because they never existed.

Due to what we described as selective payment and incessant demand of excessive fees by some unscrupulous and corrupt erstwhile officials in charge of foreign contract payment in the past.

However, upon assumption of office by this Democratic Elected Government, series of special meeting were held home and abroad with some Leaders of the World Monetary Institution such as the World Bank Group, the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Paris and London Club of Creditors, European Economic Community (E. E. C.) And envoys of our Correspondence International Bank of Settlement Worldwide affiliated with the Central Bank of Nigeria. The purpose of these special meeting is to rebuild Nigeria’s economy and to pay all foreign debts. In this regards, and due to the good and positive results we received from these special meetings, a total sum of US$1.3 Billion US Dollars have been approved from the Supplementary Budget Bill, which was approved by the Upper House of Assembly recently to pay all foreign contractors whose payment has been hanging since 1989.

Henceforth, we are obliged to inform you that your contract fund will be credited into your account submitted to Central Bank of Nigeria for approval. Note that the Federal Government, according to international law on foreign transfer has footed all upfront payment such as Transfer Charge, Tax, Insurance, Registration of your Company as compensation.Contractors are only urge to secure a Remmittance Batch Code Number for a mandatory fee of USD$3,310 only from the Swift Department of the Central Bank. Be warned that under no condition must any contractor make payment in advance to any committee or individual except the above stated fee.

Therefore, you are advised as a matter of urgency to contact the Paying Bank (Central Bank of Nigeria) Foreign Operations Unit (ALHAJI GANDI EL-BUBA) on his direct line: +234-80-322-66317 or email: fundtransferunits0@yahoo.com to personally receive your fund transfer slip and transfer access code number immediately. You are advised to write acceptance confirmation of your contract sum and email back to ALHAJI GANDI EL-BUBA on the above email address to confirm the receipt of the transferred fund into your account as stated above to enable me forward same to the appropriate authorities for final observation.
